General Practice is under huge pressure.
Many practices across the country are short of doctors, and demand for services is higher than ever before.
There has been no increased investment in General Practice for years. Our Doctors sometimes do eighty or more consultations in a day; this is not sustainable.
Our Doctors are frequently dealing with issues that other members of our team(such as Nurse or admin team), could have dealt with, and are then pressed for time when seeing people who are seriously unwell.
To try to make the system more efficient, but also to try and maintain good access to your named GP, we are trailing two new systems.
